Rikki McConnell’s journey in healthcare has been driven by a passion for offering supportive, alternative care options that go beyond traditional pharmaceuticals. She began her career at just 15, volunteering on an ambulance, and, after a brief exploration of law enforcement, returned to healthcare. She earned an Associates in Applied Science - Paramedic with honors, bridged to an Associates in Nursing, and ultimately completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. While working as an emergency department RN at a level one trauma center and as a nurse at a city jail, she witnessed many individuals struggling with basic needs, fueling her commitment to holistic care. This led her to complete a Master’s in Nursing for Family Nurse Practitioner at Walden University in 2014.
As a strong advocate for patient-centered care, Rikki’s anti-big pharma stance is central to her practice. She is passionate about medical cannabis, having seen its positive effects on family members dealing with pain, anxiety, PTSD, and other conditions. Since 2019, she has been licensed to certify for medical cannabis, and she has expanded her expertise with Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, IV hydration, and weight loss management services.
At The Hybrid Clinic Wellness, Rikki also offers massage therapy through skilled therapists who provide this service under her ownership. With a focus on healing and recovery, the clinic’s medical massage practitioners support Rikki’s mission to offer alternative care that can improve patients’ health and well-being before turning to pharmaceuticals or surgery. While she acknowledges that traditional medicine has its place, she believes it should not be the first line of care.
